چکیده
Graduated compression hosiery is regarded as a prerequisite for the prevention of of venous leg ulceration re-occurrence. It is also used prophylactically for the prevention of deep vein thrombosis (Jeffery and Nico- laides 1990 ) and lymphoedema ( Mortimer 1995 ). Despite the fact that little research has been performed to support the use of compression hosiery, both medical and nursing practitioners advocate its use in clinical practice.
